The famous director, Shankar Shanmugan who is best known for his sci-fi movies like 2.0, Enthiran, and many more have recently been a part of a rumor.
The reports of Shankar getting a non-bailable arrest warrant by the Metropolitan Magistrate Court-II, Egmore has been surfing in the media lately. It was said that these rumors were spreading due to he and his advocate didn't appear in the hearings of the case related to the 'Enthiran' movie.

The Learned Judge was pleased to immediately confirm that no warrant has apparently occurred due to a glitch in the online court reporting, which is presently being corrected. I am very surprised to see such false news being circulated without any verification, and the same has caused needless anguish to my family and well-wishers. I request this clarification will be carried by all media to ensure that such false news does not spread any further." He was highly disappointed in the media for sharing all these fake rumors about him and has requested not to do it again without knowing anything better.
